The media package includes the teacher instructions for the experiment „A3 Complex electrical circuits“. In addition, it includes further media and a link list related to the overall topic of the experiment. Die Materialien sind auch in deutscher Sprache im Lernobjekt "Experimento | 8+: Komplexe Stromkreise" verfügbar (siehe "Auswahl verwandter Medien").

Inhalt - A3 Complex electric circuits (teacher instructions) The teacher instructions include information on the following: the main question, relevance to the curriculum, skills, notes on conducting the subexperiments, the research group, further research assignments, and the reference to technology. The experiment comprises two subexperiments: • Parallel circuits • Series circuits We want to generate more light. What happens when several incandescent lamps are installed in the electric circuit? How must the lamps be connected so that they shine at the same intensity? How many incandescent lamps can be powered by one battery?
- A3.1 Parallel circuits (student instructions) Detailed instructions and questions for students on conducting the subexperiment - A3.1 Parallel circuits – Tracking down technology (worksheet) Technical applications as a supplement to subexperiment 1 “Parallel circuits” - A3.1 Parallel circuits – Tracking down technology (answer sheet) Answer sheet: For the technology module in the experimentation instructions - A3.1 Parallel circuits – Tracking down technology (information sheet) This document explains the use and function of a modern string of lights with LEDs and a power strip. - A3.2 Series circuits (student instructions) Detailed instructions and questions for students on conducting the subexperiment - Worksheet for Experimento | 8+ (blank template) The students can use this blank template during the experiment to record their results and observations. - String of lights – section (Photo) String of lights with light-emitting diodes (LEDs) connected in parallel, detailed view - Power strip (Photo) Portable power strip with a switch - Electric circuit (parallel connection) (Graphic) Two incandescent lamps are connected in parallel in this circuit. As a result, each lamp is in its own circuit. - Electric circuit (series connection) (Graphic) Two incandescent lamps are connected in series in this circuit. As a result, the lamps are installed in a common circuit. - Safety information for Experimento | 8+ (poster)
- Do you need help? – Working with electronic components The students receive information on the following: • Voltage sources • Cables • Electronic components (e.g. incandescent lamp, electric motor) They learn what they should pay attention to when working with these materials and how they can solve problems.
- Electric current and energy – Basic physics principles and models Guideline: Technical background information on the topics of electric current and energy for elementary school teachers. - Educational-didactic introduction – Experimento | 8+ This document explains the basic educational concept of Experimento | 8+ and the methodology behind the worksheet. - Safety information on the topic of energy – Experimento | 8+ The teacher should carefully read the safety information before the experiment is conducted and discuss it with the students!
