The media package includes the teacher instructions for the experiment „Simple electrical circuit“. In addition, it includes further media and a link list related to the overall topic of the experiment. Die Materialien sind auch in deutscher Sprache im Lernobjekt "Experimento | 8+: A1 Einfacher Stromkreis" verfügbar (siehe "Auswahl verwandter Medien").
Inhalt - A1 Simple electric circuit (teacher instructions) The teacher instructions include information on the following: the main question, relevance to the curriculum, skills, notes on conducting the subexperiments, the research group, further research assignments, the reference to technology, and the reference to values. The experiment comprises three subexperiments: • The lamp should light up • Switching on and off • Electro quiz How must cables, batteries, switches, and other electrical components be joined together so that, for example, an incandescent lamp lights up or a buzzer makes a sound? The students will discover how they can correctly close and interrupt an electric circuit and draw diagrams of their circuits.
- A1.1 The lamp should light up! (student instructions) Detailed instructions and questions for students on conducting the subexperiment - A1.2 Switching on and off (student instructions) Detailed instructions and questions for students on conducting the subexperiment - A1.3 Electro quiz (student instructions) Detailed instructions and questions for students on conducting the subexperiment - A1.3 Electro quiz – Tracking down technology (worksheet) Technical applications as a supplement to subexperiment 3 “Electro quiz” - A1.3 Electro quiz – Tracking down technology (answer sheet) The answer sheet contains sample answers to all questions asked in the “Tracking down technology” section in the student experimentation instructions. In some cases, the answers are very short, often only in the form of key words. - Worksheet for Experimento | 8+ (blank template) The students can use this blank template during the experiment to record their results and observations. - Continuity tester (photo) - Electric circuit (graphic) - Safety information for Experimento | 8+ (poster)
- Do you need help? – Working with electronic components The students receive information on the following: • Voltage sources • Cables • Electronic components (e.g. incandescent lamp, electric motor) They learn what they should pay attention to when working with these materials and how they can solve problems.
- Electric current and energy – Basic physics principles and models Guideline: Technical background information on the topics of electric current and energy for elementary school teachers. - Educational-didactic introduction – Experimento | 8+ This document explains the basic educational concept of Experimento | 8+ and the methodology behind the worksheet. - Safety information on the topic of energy – Experimento | 8+ The teacher should carefully read the safety information before the experiment is conducted and discuss it with the students!
